“Seeing with New Eyes”

Full-day Workshop With
World Renowned Master Photographer Courtney Milne
(The first of this series was enthusiastically received in Saskatoon on September 23rd)
“There is no such thing as a passive photographer. Every image we produce conveys far more about
the quality of our relationship with the world than it does about the subject itself."

Since the turn of the millennium Courtney Milne has taken his photography to a whole new level of seeing, and the year 2006 marks the first opportunity to showcase this new awareness. Seeing With New Eyes will introduce his startling discoveries about the underlying reasons we are drawn to photography, nature and beauty.  Seeing With New Eyes contains revolutionary ideas about our power as human beings and how we as photographers can have a profoundly positive influence on the destiny of our planet.   This seminar applies some of the principles of quantum physics to explain our role as artists and catalysts of change.
THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN DESIGNED FOR:  PHOTOGRAPHERS, AMATEUR AND PROFESSIONAL
•  ARTISTS SEEKING A PARADIGM SHIFT
•  ENVIRONMENTALISTS LOOKING FOR A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING AND INVOLVEMENT
•  ALL WHO WANT TO EXPERIENCE LIFE WITH MORE PASSION, MEANING AND PURPOSE.

This workshop is an invitation to see with new eyes, and to express our expanding awareness photographically. All material introduced applies equally to film and digital formats.

The First Annual SPCA Fund-Raising Gala

“An Evening with Courtney Milne:
The Saskatoon Premiere of Saskatchewan – the Luminous Landscape”

The SPCA was proud to present Courtney Milne as the keynote speaker at their First Annual Fund-Raising Gala on April 18, 2007 at the Willows. Author of a dozen books of photography and presenter of more than two hundred multi-media performances worldwide, Courtney Milne brought experience, wisdom, and inspiration to the platform. Using a dual projector-dissolve technique, Courtney Milne created a seamless blend of spectacular visuals with music and natural sounds, linked by his own live narration. His joyful enthusiasm for life and love for his work is contagious, infecting his audiences with a desire to rekindle their own passion and creativity. Dr. Milne’s presentations often evoke a highly personal and emotional response.

The meal had a Saskatchewan theme in keeping with the presentation. Tickets were $50 per person:  a tax receipt for $20 was issued. Reserved tables of ten were available for $500. Guests had  the opportunity to win extraordinary raffle prizes and participate in a silent auction.
